Privacy Policy

How we handle your information — written plainly, without the runaround

The short version: We're a small life coaching practice in South Jordan, Utah. We collect only what we need to serve you well. We don't sell your information. We don't share your phone number or SMS consent with anyone for their own marketing. You can opt out of any communication at any time — no hoops, no hassle.

Who We Are and Why This Exists

9th Vault is a life coaching practice run by Jason, based in South Jordan, Utah. When you reach out — through our website, by phone, or by text — you're sharing personal information with us. This policy explains what we do with it and why.

We wrote this in plain language because we think you deserve to actually understand what you're agreeing to. If something isn't clear, email us at [email protected] and we'll explain it directly.

What We Collect

What you give us directly

  • Contact info — name, email address, phone number, and mailing address if relevant
  • Coaching context — goals, challenges, and personal details you share during sessions or intake forms
  • Payment details — billing name and payment method, processed through a secure third-party processor; we never store raw card numbers ourselves
  • Your messages — emails, texts, and any other communications you send us

What we pick up automatically

  • Basic technical info like your IP address, browser type, and device type when you visit our site
  • Pages you visited, how long you stayed, and how you navigated
  • Cookie data — more on that in Section 8

Text Message (SMS) Program — 9th Vault

9th Vault sends text messages through a registered A2P 10DLC messaging program. Our number is verified with U.S. carriers, and we follow TCPA rules and CTIA guidelines. Here's exactly how it works:

1. You have to actually opt in

We only text people who have explicitly checked the SMS consent box on our opt-in form. Entering your phone number alone doesn't sign you up for texts. The checkbox has to be checked voluntarily. We keep a record of that consent.

2. What kinds of texts you'll get

  • Reminders and confirmations for your coaching sessions
  • Accountability check-ins and motivational messages tied to your program
  • Updates about scheduling, program changes, or upcoming events
  • Replies when you text us first
  • Occasional offers related to 9th Vault coaching services, if you opted into marketing messages

3. To cancel SMS service — reply STOP

Text STOP to any message from us and we'll send one final confirmation, then stop immediately. No more texts unless you decide to come back.

4. To rejoin — reply START

Changed your mind? Reply START and we'll pick back up. You'll get a confirmation and messages will resume at the next scheduled interval.

5. If you need help — reply HELP

Reply HELP at any time and we'll send our contact details. You can also reach us directly at [email protected] or +1 801-999-8302.

6. Carrier disclaimer

Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. If a message doesn't come through, that's a network issue outside our control. Reach out directly if you're missing something.

7. Message and data rates

We don't charge for texts. Your carrier might — standard message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies based on where you are in your program. Contact your wireless provider with questions about your plan.

Texts are optional. Signing up for SMS is never a condition of working with us or buying anything from 9th Vault. You get the same access to our services regardless of your SMS opt-in status.

SMS Data & Third-Party Sharing — Required Disclosure

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information sharing to subcontractors in support services, such as customer service, is permitted. All other use case categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties, except for aggregators and providers of the text message services.

How We Use Your Information

We use what you share with us to actually serve you — nothing more:

  • Schedule and deliver your coaching sessions
  • Send you reminders, confirmations, and session follow-ups
  • Respond when you reach out to us
  • Process payments for paid programs
  • Send texts or emails you've opted into
  • Make our services better over time
  • Stay compliant with applicable laws and regulations

We don't mine your data, build advertising profiles, or use your information for anything outside of what's described here.

Who We Share Information With

We don't sell your data. We don't trade it. The only times your information leaves our hands:

  • Service vendors — We use GoHighLevel (our CRM), payment processors, and an email/SMS platform to run our business. These vendors only get what they need to do their job and are required to protect it.
  • Legal situations — If a valid court order or law enforcement request requires disclosure, we'll comply. We'll notify you first if we're legally permitted to do so.
  • Business changes — If 9th Vault is ever sold or merged, your information would transfer under the same protections described here.

How We Protect Your Data

We use SSL encryption for anything transmitted through our site, access controls so only authorized people can view your information, and secure cloud-based infrastructure. We take data protection seriously as a small business where trust is everything.

That said, no system is perfectly airtight. If you ever suspect your information has been compromised in connection with us, email [email protected] immediately and we'll investigate right away.

Your Rights and Options

You're in control of your information. Here's what you can do at any time:

  • See what we have — Ask for a copy of the personal information we hold on you
  • Fix something wrong — If we have something incorrect, let us know and we'll correct it
  • Ask us to delete it — We'll remove your data where we're legally able to do so
  • Stop texts — Reply STOP to any message we send you
  • Stop marketing emails — Click Unsubscribe at the bottom of any email from us
  • California residents (CCPA) — You have additional rights including the right to know, delete, and opt out of the sale of personal information. We don't sell personal information. Contact us for a full CCPA disclosure.

Cookies

Our coaching is for adults 18 and older. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has submitted information through our site, email [email protected] and we'll delete it promptly.

If we make meaningful changes here, we'll update the date at the top and post the updated version on this page. For significant changes, we'll also send an email notice to active clients. Continuing to use our services after an update means you're okay with the revised policy.
